Field Service Technician

At Best Graphics, we pride ourselves on being a trusted and innovative leader in the Graphic Arts, Bindery, Finishing, and Packaging equipment industries. With decades of experience and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we’re looking for a Field Service Technician to join our growing team and help us deliver exceptional service and support to our customers.

 

Job Summary:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, demonstration, training, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery at customer sites and at our facilities. This role requires technical expertise, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach.

 

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to install and train operators on cutting-edge machinery.
  • Provide technical solutions and hands-on support to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Showcase machinery capabilities through hands-on operation and detailed explanations for customers visiting our showroom.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues and repair existing machinery to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency
  • Collaborate with customers to maintain positive relationships while delivering exceptional service.
  • Communicate with the installation team to ensure seamless execution.
  • Create accurate service reports and support the Service Manager with pre/post installation meetings/audits with the customer

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operating or 2+ years of direct maintenance experience with machinery like Die Cutters, Blankers, Folder Gluers, Foil Stampers, Saddle Stitchers, Guillotine Paper Cutters, Pile Turners, Film Laminators, Perfect Binders, and more.
  • Electrical knowledge or certifications are highly desirable. While experience with Graphic Arts machinery is preferred, we value candidates with a strong foundation in electrical systems who are eager to learn and grow in this field.
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Continuous learning mindset with a commitment to staying updated on technological advancements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external parties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Collaborate well with others, proactively contributing to group objectives; volunteer to help others.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. and performing hands-on tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license.
